Side Trips

I never found a woman, who was going where I was going, It slowed my journey, but the destination...remains the same.

About A Mile

The difference between 'saying it', and 'meaning it'...is what you have to lose.

Nobody's Pinup

'Life is not an asphalt road, all smooth and featureless, that you can go zoom zoom on, with little care and Michelin tires. Life is a rocky road, ups and downs, and in many places, it becomes a trail, precipitous and sharp edged and dangerous.

"Straight is the way", as an allegory, cannot apply to the 'real' road of life. Sometimes, you can't even find the road, or it's foggy, or it's wet...or, you're lost completely. But, it clears. It becomes sunny again. You find your way. Eventually, you find the way.

It's all these mishaps, and imperfections, and course corrections, that life is about. Life isn't a neatly coined 'bumper sticker'. It really is rougher than that. But , there are good hearts out here, hearts that will take you in, love you, when the chips are down, and your 'hand' sucks.

I'm nobody's pinup, and nobody's choice, but time to time, 'when I was tired of everything', I found hope in the most unexpected ways...but largely, by 'changing the channel' in myself, remembering...it's me, that has to do the work, has to find the way...and I can, and I did.

It was terrible hard, but here I am. If you are young, think of all you have. You have a fresh new battery, a young pliable heart, an open uncharted road of adventure. You could try anything...be anything. Just change the channel, and don't worry too much...smile. Look at that beautiful smile.

Either, Or

They allowed you 'choice'. They preached science. You chose atheism, and abortion...so, neither the god, nor the child cut away, can answer your prayer, if even...you could form one. They have prepared you for nihilism, so that, you may be taken without hope, or choice. How ironic, to think of it...

No More Secrets

I watched the movie, 'Snowden', tonight. I liked it. The 'new patriots', wont keep secrets for monsters, or walk off bridges, for cowards. They will defend our Constitution, but more, they will 'blow' the whistle, if they must, like a castrato...and still have bigger balls, than all the secret keepers. They will protect the world, and few of us, may ever know them, but it will be on account of their conscience and sacrifice...that we have life, or liberty, at all!

White Birds Fetch

To see you in the sky, far from our reach...a smile on our lips, as you disappear, like a 'just made right'...or an unmade witch, on a broomstick bed...reverie on a white birds fetch.

In His Wrath

There are prophets in our midst, but no one listens. Even the children are tainted with a devils criticism...and join all the rest. If you have never been cursed, by a child...you know not, that sort of sadness.

Hell, in its power, can touch anyone. But it must still remain in Hell. You can choose love, or choose hate, and bring the devil forth. But the devil cannot live here. Only his hate can live here. So, if you choose him and his way, you must go there...to him.

The lord could blame all men, in his mighty anger, but he is the lord, and master's his anger. Therefore, he will take his people, from the devil and raise them on the day, forgive them, love them and heal them. The devil will cry and scream in wrath, at this theft.

In the end...he will inherit dust and fire, unrepentent. The children will be sweet again...
