I hope, it brings 'cheer' to a few of those, scratching their nuts; wondering...here, so near the holiday's...what the hell has happened to all the traditions? 'Black Friday', representing the greed of the season, as an example of how far we've fallen, now precedes even Thanksgiving. Gifts are exchanged, over what's left of the spirit of Christmas and promptly turned in...for cold hard cash.
Visiting mom and dad is a chore instead of a desire to be with loved ones.. Mostly, people don't even wrap anymore. They 'rapp' instead, and if anything is a surprise...it's NOT getting a plastic gift card, so you can pick your own things out. Ode to joy! We are all guilty of 'convenience', of not taking the time to make the holidays a holiday.
Where's the love? Where's the joy? What happened to the 'Ho Ho Ho' in Holy? Now it's just a 'Ho', with no soul...humping to the beat of the dollar. To all of you forest gatherer's, trying to pierce the darkness of the times with solution or definition...idled by the fascination, of what 'transparency' is supposed to be, for there is none. Don't lose hope. But also, don't go with 'the times', if you truly wish to improve the situation.
Screw the times, and the fads and suggestions, to follow this or that. Turn the god damn devices off, and speak to the person next to you. Cut the crap and the rapp, and the button down lies and share some love...instead. What really makes the world better, isn't a lot of, so called 'progressive' horse shit. What the world needs, is to get back to basics, to what's good in a thing...not what's superfluous and unnecessary.
It isn't that there 'isn't enough time' to do what needs doing. It's only that, some genius's figured out how to make it seem like, we don't have enough time...by generating endless 'apps', we never needed, and tiny tiny buttons we never needed, on devices we never needed...in the first place. Enough! I hope, we may all exchange Peace, this Christmas, as one gift, and Love as another. Give each other some Time as a third. Share your thoughts with each other. Be kind. Try humility. No, not me:-) Try some humor. Don't be SUCH a Leo!
Now, to all the squirrels, sitting on their nuts, I ask..."How many 'nogs' you had, and why you look'n at me like that? Are you stoned? Jesus, Mary and Joseph...somebody had to be 'the nutcracker'. Geez! Can we party? I feel 'snacky'.
